Colour and its (almost complete) lack have something in common: light. Both artists have used it in their works directly and indirectly, depicting its seemingly physical presence in our environment, even when the environment itself is not physical. As a result, these two ostensible opposites create in a gallery a pulsating flow through which the wandering rhythm of different times and places, colour and colourlessness start to highlight each other in unison. It is like a piano concerto in which the quiet contemplation of the piano and the grandiose chords of the orchestra filling the galleries create a soundscape where both dialogue partners hold their own clearly defined (creative) positions and where individual elements merge into an enjoyable harmony. Light is present everywhere.
